Code Enforcement

The City of West Monroe's Code Enforcement Office is responsible for enforcing laws that prohibit the existence of conditions that are deemed to be hazardous to public health, safety, and welfare. Some of the areas of enforcement include overgrown and unkempt properties, dilapidated structures, debris, and litter. The office is charged with identifying violations, citing responsible parties, and ensuring the violations are corrected.

For Animal Control issues such as unleashed dogs, animals running loose or animal adoption, please call the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter at (318) 325-0756.
