Cashier: Requirements – Knowledgeable in money handling and data entry. Responsible for receiving and processing utility payments; assist customers on phone and in person; reconcile and balance cash drawer daily; and assist in other areas as needed.
Sewer Camera Operator: Requirements – Knowledge of operations and duties of the camera truck. Able to read and understand city sewer maps. Basic computer skills needed and capability of troubleshooting video equipment in the field. Will be able to provide precise GIS mapping via video surveillance and software from camera system. Must develop a working relationship with in-house GIS Coordinator. Will work to obtain operator certification up to level 3 in wastewater collection required by DHH (Department of Health and Hospitals).
Labor I (multiple positions open): Requirements - Good mechanical skills. Physically able to perform duties required to make water and sewer repairs, taps, effectively use a shovel and operate an air-hammer. Must be motivated to learn and grow within the crew and obtain operator certifications required by DHH (Department of Health and Hospitals) up to a level 3 in water distribution and wastewater collection.
Lift Station Technician: Requirements – Skilled in servicing, analyzing, trouble-shooting and repairing minor issues with pumps. Minor electrical knowledge. Will inspect stations and pumps daily and report all habitual or major issues to the supervisor. Required to have knowledge of the sewer collection system. Will be responsible for cleaning all lift station wet wells not less than twice per year. Must obtain operator certification up to level 3 in wastewater collection required by DHH (Department of Health and Hospitals).
Field Supervisor: Requirements – Exhibit a thorough knowledge of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Will manage foremen on all crews and make sure field work and paperwork is completed properly and timely. Must have strong communication and organizational skills. Computer knowledge is required. Will obtain operator certifications up to level 3 in water distribution and wastewater collection required by DHH (Department of Health and Hospitals).
Equipment Operator: Requirements - Skilled in operating small equipment, specifically but not limited to backhoe and mini-track hoe. Understand excavating procedures relative to exposing lines without damaging them. General knowledge of pipe fitting.
